I love being a Design Consultant at Bennetts, it's such a great happy comfortable environment for shopping for furniture. I have been helping clients choose furniture for 28 years now and 5 at Bennetts. Nothing better than helping customers choose their own custom furniture and working within a persons budget.

In my free time I macrame do stained glass and always enjoy a hot summer day by the water.

I am excited to be a Design Consultant at Bennett's. I have been in the interior design business since my first high school job as a designer assistant in Midland, Michigan. I worked as a Junior Interior Designer for Chalet Interiors for 3 years in Saginaw, Michigan while getting my Interior Design degree. I came to Kingston in 1991 and worked both for Sears and Tall Pines Interiors.

When I'm not helping my clients with their furniture needs you can find me golfing, kayaking, motorcycle riding, or watercolour painting.

Having made the transition from a career in wholesale electronics to retail furniture a few years ago, I find home decorating and design to be very challenging, however helping clients fulfill their needs and wants for their space is very gratifying. I enjoy the experience and am grateful for their trust and confidence.

Being a bit of a home body, I love to relax at home with family. I try to stay active walking, playing golf, and skiing when I can. Sometimes chilling with a good book, or crossword puzzle is as good as it gets!

Before coming to Bennett’s I did my Undergrad in Gender and Canadian Studies at Trent University and was part of the Master’s program at Trent, studying Aging in rural spaces in Ontario. I often find myself using this knowledge to help my older customers who are downsizing.

I love decorating because it’s what the women in my family do; it has been passed on from my “Grandma Ket”, to my mom and now my sister and I. I love colour, patterns and having fun with my customers when they’re in the store.

In my free time I watch a lot of hockey (go BRUINS!) and help my boyfriend run his board game caf? (The Boardwalk Board Game Lounge) in downtown Peterborough.

My favorite part of my work at Bennett’s is getting to meet new people and help them transform their home into a space that brings them joy and comfort. My goal is to make sure that every client I work with feels confident and happy after working with me.

In my free time I spend as much time as I can enjoying the outdoors. On a typical day off you might find me fishing, heading to the beach, bungee jumping, sky diving or white-water rafting. I bring enthusiasm and positive energy to all aspects of my life, including helping others decorate their space.

I realized I wanted to peruse my passion decorating and everything related. After finishing my 4 year Interior Design course at Niagara College, I started an Interior Business with my colleague.

We specialized in residential and commercial interiors in the Niagara Region for 14 years. Working as a decorator consultant at Bennett’s, I love helping advise clients with in home design projects involving custom orders, floor plans and lifestyle planning to maximize the spaces with all the finishing touches. Customizing fabrics and furniture (Including toss cushions!) are my passion.

Hearing my customer’s comments of appreciation and satisfaction is extremely rewarding.

In my spare time I enjoy baking and walking my 2 rescue dogs, Benito and Benisto!

Originally from Brighton, U.K., I moved my business “Comfort & Joy” to Peterborough in 1993 from Toronto. Loyal clientele followed me to 'Electric City Gardens', an eclectic fine dining restaurant in downtown Peterborough. I’m a certified interior designer and I use my arts and textile background to help customers achieve a “one of kind” look. I’m always reading and researching about design and colour. I’m taking a course about designing safe and aesthetically pleasing homes for the aging population. I delight in the joy and comfort of every day and I enjoy looking for the best in design in everything related to homes.

For fun, in my free time I like to watch all sorts of film, love all kinds of music and am obsessed with gardening and travel.

I’ve been working with customizable furniture for almost a decade, starting in custom patio furniture and transitioning to indoor furniture a couple years ago. I’m very proud of creating visually stunning spaces that are also functional for the client’s everyday life. I’ve always had a love for technology and enjoy using the latest 3D room design tools to help clients visualize their projects in their own home. I would be thrilled to help you select suitable pieces for your lifestyle and show you your personal 3D floor plan of your space(s).

Outside of work my hobbies include building terrariums, to working on my race car.

I enjoy helping people discover what they desire to make their homes a sanctuary for their families and guests. As a parent and homeowner, I can appreciate the time and consideration that goes into making furnishings for a household work in a practical and aesthetic sense for customers now and going forward in planning their rooms.

Ancient Chinese culture fascinates me. I am a certified advanced Feng Shui design professional and I‘m currently continuing my studies.

On a personal note, because I have an energetic young family involved with the Kawartha Youth Orchestra, Air Cadets, ballet and a wide variety of sports, my days off are busy!

As a young adult I was exposed to Interior Design during a summer placement I did for a doctor and his wife. She had Architectural Digest magazines everywhere. So off to Sheridan College I went to study Sales Management and Interior Design.

After graduation, I managed a Window Covering business and Textile store. I then had my own Window Covering Business and Gift Shop. When Bennett’s came to Peterborough I applied and can happily say I’ve now been with them for over 20 years.

I have spent my life working with people. After graduating from Fleming College in Graphic Design, I realized that I loved to design spaces as much as pages. I spent 15 years in lighting sales, both residential & commercial. Working with clients to bring their spaces to life is what brings meaning to sales for me. I love designing beautiful rooms, but at the end of the day, it's how those spaces make people feel that is the real reward. Working at Bennett's is the perfect place for that.

In my spare time, it's all about sunshine, plants & dogs. Some of my best friends have 4 legs, and my happiest days are always spent with one of my furry girls at my side, puttering in my garden.

Before starting my career at Bennetts, I attended Fleming College and Trent University where I studied Environmental Science, ultimately earning my Masters degree. I have been in the world of customer service since 2016 in many different positions, most recently managing a retail store in Lansdowne Place mall for 2 years.

I have always had a personal interest in interior design and decorating my spaces in a way that offers functionality, organization and style. I love working with neutral earthy tones in a contemporary style. I love helping people find the right pieces and customize products to suit their style and needs, it is a very rewarding process for me.

I graduated from the Interior Design program at Fanshawe College and now have over 10 yrs experience in the design field. I am a strong believer that a well designed home is more than just aesthetics. It brings us joy by creating spaces that facilitate great conversations, fun family gatherings and cozy evenings.

I truly enjoy chatting and getting to know my clients and I look forward to it every day.

I grew up in Peterborough but love working in the Campbellford Bennetts store. My work experience in sales and customer service has spanned over 40 years. I have been a flight attendant, travel agent, jewellery salesperson, an entrepreneur and even a dental assistant! Just to name a few. I have been selling furniture and appliances for just over 7 years now and am much younger than I sound here!

I don't like to think of myself as a "sales lady" but rather a “design accomplice” of sorts. I love assisting clients find beautiful things to brighten their lives and make them more comfortable at home. Hence, Bennnets calls us Decorator Consultants, they really get me! Helping people is very fulfilling, I love to laugh and have fun with my customers.

Working for a family owned and operated business in a small town and being part of the community is a real pleasure. Being an outgoing “people person” I really enjoy helping customers find the right pieces of furniture to suit their lifestyles. When working with customer photo’s of their rooms or better yet, when I’m invited to their home to do an in-home consultation, this particularly brings me clarity in assisting the customer to make the right decisions based on their personal taste. I love making sure they get great customer service from beginning to delivery!

Growing up in Trenton, I worked for a moving company while in high school and then for a few years after that. My next big move was to another furniture store, where I stayed for over 30 years working in almost every department, from delivery to service, buying, management and then to selling. One of my co-workers from that store started working at Bennett's, then proceeded to pester and bug me to make the move to here. Best move I ever made!

Selling has become a very enjoyable position for me. I like meeting new people and assisting them in finding nice things for their homes. My appliance knowledge is extensive, other staff find that quite useful! I do like to help!

With over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, I aim to make everyone's visit to Bennett's as enjoyable as possible. Searching for furniture and bedding can feel like a daunting task, but it can be a painless process with the right guidance.
I received my Associate's from the College of Southern Maryland then proceeded to obtain my Bachelor's from Salisbury University. After graduating, I spent the next several years learning the ins and outs of the furniture industry prior to moving to Ontario. I look forward to providing the level of service and commitment to detail that you deserve.

Hello there! My name is Taylor, and I am thrilled to be one of the newest Decorator Consultants to the Bennett's team. Born and raised in Peterborough, I started my career in the furniture industry a little over 6 years ago, and since then have been developing a wealth of product knowledge and passion when it comes to furniture, mattresses, and appliances. I am here to help, and it's what I love to do! Outside of work, you can find me cuddled up on my couch with my dog playing video games. I really am just a giant nerd at heart. I also love cooking, board games, and sports. GO LEAFS GO!Come visit me, and let's design a room you will love - and have fun doing it!

I am an Interior Designer with 15 years of experience in the GTA and Peterborough and now providing design services for Bennett’s customers. My educational background in Visual Arts & Interior Design Diploma compliment my natural eye for detail and design. I have a love for creating functional and harmonious spaces, specializing in space planning, balancing colours, patterns, textures and tailoring the design to reflect your personality and needs. Welcoming projects of all scopes and design styles, I am happy to help you in achieving the room of your dreams!

When I am not busy decorating, I enjoy pursing other creative arts such as photography, sculpture and painting. Another passion of mine is travelling, exploring new places and cultures.

In the past 20 years I have bought, build, renovated & resold homes, as well as helped to re-fresh tired interiors. I enjoy working with families whose spaces doesn’t work for anymore & helping them figure out how to make them the homes of their dreams yet again. I love mixing styles like rustic & elegant or industrial & glam-chic to give the client a design that compliments their lifestyle & interests with focus on choosing elements with characteristics that describe them. My goal is to help create spaces that are rich with meaning; interiors that feel safe, & say “I’m home, I’ve arrived.” The end result is homes filled with harmony, beauty, wisdom & true happiness.

In my free time, I spend time with my husband and our rescued dogs, as well as run a dog rescue, where I find loving adoptive homes for local as well as Egyptian Baladi dogs.
