I just wanted to say how great experience dealing with Bennett’s was. Julie, the salesrep, helped me find the size of love seat/sofa, that no other Toronto furniture stores could. Then, the two fellows, delivering it, covered their shoes when they arrived, and sized up the door openings. They were able to maneuver the sofa, through the narrow doorways, and place it where I wanted. They suggested the felt pads on the 4 legs, and waited while I found some and then attached them to the legs. Then they described how to pull out the bed and replace it safely. All in all I could not have asked for better service and care. Thanks Bennetts! Job well done.

Service Excellence from start to finish bests describes our shopping experience at Bennett’s Home Furnishings. Our Sales Consultant Jan was very knowledgeable and customer focused. A true pleasure! The delivery men, Sean and Kyle, arrived on time, were very personable, and removed their footwear when entering our home. In a time when service is normally mediocre or non-existent Bennett’s customer service is in a class of its own. Best service ever! Oh and yes, we love our new furniture! We will definitely be returning to Bennett’s for all our future home furnishing needs.

Eric, Just want to thank Cathy for a job well done. Cathy was very helpful and patient with us. We were unable to get in to the store to see the chairs we were to purchase so she listened to our needs by telephone and came thru for us. We liked her approach and her care and concern that we got what we were looking for. She is an asset to your team. She provided great service and advice. We hope all your sales agents in your company are as diligent, cheerful and responsive as Cathy. One other point, I have a narrow and very long driveway and of course when our chairs were delivered there was a great deal of snow along the driveway preventing your fellows from backing all the way in. It did not bother them a bit that they had to carry the chairs a fair way into the house. They were both cheerful and very polite and they really should get a bit of credit also.

My husband and I recently purchased 2 couches, a chair, and an ottoman for our family room. We had an interior designer, Shelley Hughes, come to our home and give us suggestions, as we wanted fabrics that wouldn't clash with an oriental carpet. (We've turned to Shelley several other times over the years, and have always been very pleased with her ideas). Since we had the time, as did Shelley, we went to Bennett's to look for what we needed. We dealt with Karen who was most helpful and knowledgeable. After a few more visits to be really sure of what we wanted, and to look again through their many wonderful fabric samples to reassure ourselves that what we chose was the best choice for us, we placed our order. The furniture was ready earlier than we had expected, and a delivery date was arranged. Although we were the last customers on a Saturday p.m. to receive a delivery, the 2 men were very friendly and helpful, and very considerate. They happily moved our old furniture to other rooms, and complimented us on our choices of furniture fabric.
In summary, why would anyone want to shop out-of-town when such a fine furniture store with wonderful staff and service is right here on our doorstep?

Once again I would like to thank Bennett's for their excellent customer service. We have had a problem with a chair that we purchased there some time ago, and the follow up has been fantastic. After attending our home in December 2012, Jim came back again on January 23rd, 2013 and was able to complete the repairs necessary on our chair. Jim is an extremely nice gentleman, knowledgeable about the products and very clean and efficient with the repairs. Hello Mike, I just got delivery of our sofa with chaise today. My driveway was icy & it is deadly! I figured they’d never get up it and they didn’t but they still managed to carry it all the way up, about 200 feet, & put it in the front room. I just received my sofa and bed delivery today, and I just want to say how great those delivery guys were. They were very professional and dedicated. Great customer service! Our sales consultant, Rhonda, was very helpful in guiding our selections and with decorating ideas. The biggest surprise was finding out the delivery charge was comparable to local rates here in Toronto! I still need to buy quite a bit more furniture, as our house is still under renovations, and after speaking to the delivery guys, I will be returning to furnish a few more rooms in the near future. Hi Mike, My husband and I purchased a new sofa from Bennett's a few weeks ago and we wanted to let you know that we were very pleased with the entire process. From the moment we walked in the back door until the moment that the delivery men left our home we could not have been more satisfied. You greeted us when we arrived, gave us a ballot to complete and let us wander around at our leisure until we came to you with a question regarding Lazyboy products. You directed us as to where to go and let us once again wander around at our leisure. You were only seconds away if we needed you and you never made us feel pressured - and when we did ask you questions - you knew the answers - you are a great salesman. The after sales experience was also wonderful. We were having the sofa delivered and your people called the day before the sofa was to be delivered to let us know that they would be calling the next morning to give us a more accurate time - and on delivery day, as promised, someone called again to do just that. My husband (who by the way is hard to impress) was more than impressed with the delivery service - he said he had never met delivery men like them before - he told me that they were great guys and that you could tell they loved their job. We recently, unfortunately had our home trashed and had to replace a bedroom suite and 2 chairs which we purchased at your store. We cannot say enough how pleased we were with the help and patience from Christina as we tried to decide on the pieces. We are very happy with our choices. We also want to applaud the delivery men, they couldn't have been nicer, so careful, and obliging, assembled everything so carefully and they also were kind enough to carry up an old chair for us, wrap it in plastic and set it on our trailer as we were giving it to our son. We were very impressed with the service provided from the moment we walked in to the day it was all delivered. We ordered a new washing machine (front loader) and dryer. All the benefits of a front loading washer were explained thoroughly and the sales associate’s knowledge about the product was very clear. The transaction was simple. It was ordered on Wednesday and delivered on Saturday, as promised. The delivery men unpacked the items, stacked them, secured them and installed all the hose and electrical hook ups. The area was left neat and clean and they took the boxes away to dispose of. It was as if the washing machine and dryer were always there. Bennett’s staff took the time to make us feel special and we will always look to them first.

A few 3 years later we needed service on our couch and your service people came to our house in Brooklin. They worked out a solution and we were actually shocked! She was pleasant (not pushy), very knowledgeable and VERY patient with us. She spent over an hour with us helping us design our dining room table and chairs. After getting home, I started to question my choices, but when the furniture arrived...Wow! We are so happy with the set. Great quality and it looks amazing in our home. I was looking for new living room furniture for my new apartment. I am an older person and quite small in stature, so was having a very difficult time finding something I liked that would be comfortable. It was my lucky day when I arrived at Bennett’s and met Cathy. She immediately saw the problem and helped me choose a set that I believed was the right size and colour. When it was delivered, I was dismayed to see that I had not only chosen a colour that did not suit, but a chair that was too big for me. The great delivery team contacted Cathy to let her know I was upset, and she immediately called me, told me not to worry we would find something I would like. She picked me up in her car and took me to the store, where we worked together on colours and a better chair size. Nothing was too much trouble for Cathy and I so appreciated her patience and kindness. When the new couch and chair were delivered I was just delighted with not only our choice of colours, but also the size of both pieces. They are perfect!
BENNETT'S – Where they treat you like a Queen!

I felt Bennett’s is deserving of what I want to share with other customers. Here’s what Bennett’s means to me. I haven’t been well & we’ve been renovating so it’s been a difficult time. We have retired in the area from Bowmanville and friends told us to go see Mike at Bennett’s. We’d had a fire with our washer and dryer and needed another set immediately. After a phone conversation, Mike found and described a pair he thought would suit my needs. The delivery guys delivered it right away. They set them up & even took time to show & explain the features in detail. Later, we bought a Beautyrest mattress, also over the phone, with my MasterCard. We didn’t even have to go in and once again a successful delivery! Next, we saw La-Z-Boys in the flyer so went to the store but I couldn’t go up the stairs. A man said that’s ok and he carried it downstairs for me to see! It was appropriate for us so I bought 2! I saw a fridge when I was in looking at the La-Z-Boy chair and had them deliver it at the same time. I called Mike to let him know I’d like a stove to replace mine which has burners. He gave me information on all stoves features- so now I’m using a convection stove which I’m very happy with. Next, I wanted an inexpensive mattress and Mike found one on special that is just right! I have bought everything I own from Bennett’s and wouldn’t shop anywhere else. The delivery team, Tom Haig and Jim Twigg, were so wonderful for all the deliveries. Mike is very knowledgeable so could advise and explain features of all my purchases & took the time for me. He made me feel like a “special customer” and that my business is appreciated.

Hello Marlaine, Last March we took delivery of a La-Z-Boy reclining sofa. We noticed a problem with the right end of the recliner and contacted your service department. Marylou dispatched Jim to come have a look at it. After trouble shooting with the set to no avail and discussions with Marylou, she told us Bennett’s would credit the full purchase price and we could pick out another sofa. Marlaine, I can’t tell you how impressed and relieved I felt. I have dealt with Bennett’s in the past and I am a firm believer in the excellence of your business. The down side is that the leather chair and ottoman makes me miss many evening TV shows !!!! Cathy is your rock. Hello Cathy, I just wanted to send you a short note to say THANK YOU so much for the guidance you gave my parents (Margaret and Peter Michaud) in their recent shopping expedition for twin beds. They really like them!! You made the whole experience painless, and I observed how patiently you dealt with their pre-conceived notions about beds..hahaha Seriously, though, it is a great skill you have and I know that they (and I) valued your knowledge and experience.
As a bonus, the delivery, set-up and pick-up of the old beds was a god-send for them. My mother told me that the guys who came to their house last week were really nice, and super-accommodating.

We were looking for a new kitchen table and had been to several other stores before walking through the front doors of Bennett’s. There are plenty of quality choices there to suit every budget and décor. Our salesperson Debbie was very helpful, knowledgeable and had great ideas. She listened to what we said and did not try to sell us something else. Also, she left us alone to look at the selection and talk as a couple without bugging us. Debbie also encouraged us to enter a store contest as Bennett’s was celebrating their 85th Anniversary. We actually won the Grand Prize of $2011 to spend at Bennett’s!! We almost didn’t collect our prize as our contact details had changed and no one could find us to let us know we won. Debbie went out of her way to find us and showed up in our driveway one weekend to give us the great news in person! When our furniture was delivered the delivery men were very polite, careful and efficient. We had a very positive experience at Bennett’s and encourage everyone to walk through the doors of this amazing store and have one too!

After having less than a positive experience with another large furniture store in Peterborough, my confidence was low. Believe it or not, this is the first NEW kitchen set we’ve ever owned in 30 years. Anyway, we just love it and, judging by the attached photo, it looks like it was made for our new kitchen. I am a new customer of Bennett’s, as my family relocated from abroad over the summer. I recently purchased a living room set from the Peterborough location. I must say that the product is wonderful and the service well surpassed my expectations. There was a slight mix-up with the original order but apparently Mr. Bennett himself, as was confirmed by the sales agent, handled the situation. I was floored to know that the owner himself cared so much and was so involved. I did not realize that such customer service still exists. In this day and age you tend to encounter businesses that only want the sale, and the customer satisfaction is not always a priority. Thank you Mr. Bennett and staff for being so welcoming and for caring for your customers. We will definitely recommend your store to others and will continue to support your business.

We had our delivery today of a Canadel dining room set. We really would like to express how pleased we are with Bennett’s Home Furnishings service. Our sales consultant, Jan Norman, was excellent and also Karen, who helped when Jan was on vacation. They were both patient and helpful. To Bennett’s Staff, We have always had great service through Bennett’s. We just replaced our couch/loveseat that we bought 18 years ago in Campbellford. Your delivery people graciously moved the old set to the basement. We want to make sure everyone knows what a wonderful job Rhonda and Jan did in assisting us over several store visits with choosing fabrics etc. What a wonderful team. Our son’s dining room set and sideboard were purchased in your Peterborough store last year and they live in Toronto.
